Zalman Gifter
[edit]How is it that his son Zalman, who actually filled his position at Telz, is not mentionned in the article?— Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.39.165.110 (talk • contribs) [1]
Filled his position is one way of looking at it. The man destroyed the yeshiva and can't learn, but otherwise, he "filled [Rav Gifter's] position." NEBACH! 67.81.155.106 (talk) 21:11, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
Native Baltimorean?
[edit]In the first paragraph of the biography section is stated: "Mordechai Gifter was born in 1915, in Portsmouth, Virginia. He was raised in Baltimore, Maryland where his father Reb Yisroel owned a grocery." Later, in the fifth paragraph, it says: "He was the first native Baltimorean to lead a congregation in the city." This does not add up. If he was born in Portsmouth, Virginia, he was NOT a native Baltimorean at all.Kepipesiom (talk) 22:14, 24 July 2011 (UTC)
