A survival rate of 95% after one year is pretty high; is that perhaps the mortality rate? Antandrus (talk) 18:19, 19 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- That section was added by an anonymous user about two weeks ago. I didn't read it carefully, so thanks for pointing out the discrepancy! It wasn't worded very well, and since I can't find a reference for the 95% figure (either for survival or mortality), I've refactored the paragraph to make an exact figure unnecessary. I also added substitute species, which I encourage any prospective Moorish Idol owners to consider in an Idol's stead. -- Hadal 03:02, 21 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- I'm not real sure about that section. It's totally unsourced, and while the look alikes for the idol are valid, and perhaps the numbers given were valid 10 years ago, cost in keeping "super huge" tanks (200+ gallons) have dropped by almost 75%. This fish isn't significantly more difficult to keep in a FOWLR (Fish Only With Live Rock) than some tangs, and triggers. The alternatives are significantly easier to keep, true, but it seems to me that this needs to go, or receive proper sourcing. Trelane (talk) 19:00, 20 March 2010 (UTC)
