Talk:Mood Media
This article has not yet been rated on Wikipedia's content assessment scale. |
This page has received edits from multiple authors over the past year and I am removing the close connection tag that was included and the advertisement tag. The page makes very little reference to the company's external website (the article refers to an acquisition the company made, and this editor has included an additional external 3rd party reference).
Patent Lawsuit
[edit]Mood Media is a defendant in a patent infringement lawsuit filed in the Southern District of Ohio (Western Division) in Cincinnati, Ohio. Two of Mood's subsidiary companies are also named defendants in that suit. The complaint alleges infringement and inducement of infringement by all of the defendants. The plaintiff is Info-Hold, Inc., a Cincinnati based competitor of Mood Media in the on-hold and overhead music and messaging industry. Another Mood subsidiary, Muzak LLC, is a defendant in a separate lawsuit and the Mood litigation is currently stayed pending the resolution of the Muzak suit, or a motion to lift the stay and proceed with the suit. Mood Media was previously a licensee under an agreement with Info-Hold regarding the patent at issue, but that agreement was terminated, allowing for the current lawsuit. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hedley1946 (talk • contribs) 15:39, 23 April 2017 (UTC)
