TOC
[edit]Probably, the article now needs a TOC template to make it more readable. I don't know the WP guidelines indicating when and how it can be used.
The previous version had a lot of links related to articles of one or few more kbytes without a clear reason of the eventual selection criteria adopted. So for WP:NPOV all of them had to be listed.Philosopher81sp (talk) 06:36, 9 September 2020 (UTC)
- User talk:Philosopher81sp#Disambiguation pages may b of more general interest. I apologize for having listed some element with the full baptismal name which was different from the title of the WP article. In other case, it seems to be a choice more respectful for the interested people whose nickname is not always chosen nor gladly accepted. That won't be the case.Philosopher81sp (talk) 19:24, 12 September 2020 (UTC)
- @Philosopher81sp: People sections are often split up by occupation sub-sections: sports, politics, etc. That may make it easier to find people who are known by a nickname. Leschnei (talk) 23:03, 12 September 2020 (UTC)
- @Leschnei: This is true, but it would be very engaging to do it manually. And it is unworkable. In some articles of en.wikipedia I've seen a bot like w:it:Persone di cognome Rossi. Hopefully, it could also be implemented there. For this article, it would be simplier to use a template:TOC, if there's agreement about that proposal.Philosopher81sp (talk) 10:56, 13 September 2020 (UTC)
- @Philosopher81sp: Actually, I think that the best solution would be to create a surname page and get the names off of the DAB page altogether, but I don't like to do that without at least one reliable source (which I couldn't find). I haven't seen TOC templates used on DAB pages, but the names could be split into subsections titled A-D, etc. Leschnei (talk) 12:13, 13 September 2020 (UTC)
- @Leschnei: I agree to create a separated surname page. I've no reliable sources available at the moment. I start to split the names into subsections.Philosopher81sp (talk) 12:26, 13 September 2020 (UTC)
