this article is far from new
[edit]This article was started some years ago on the dutch-wikipedia-site nl.wikipedia.org there it is called: Monotype-lettertypen.
I did translate the Dutch in it, and placed it her, because I do want to share this information, vital for all people who still cast with Monotype caster machines, like I do in Holland and elsewhere.
There are a few photo's available on various wiki's from monotype casters and other things on Monotype font.
I would like to include some typespecimens too, or better parts of the specimen blades. So that anybody can see what the font means.
All the best wishes J.T.W.A.Cornelisse (talk) 20:43, 23 October 2016 (UTC)
Use primarily English measurements rather than metric ones
[edit]This is all old tech, and all the dimensions are defined in terms of inches. Thus it would seem that the sizes should be expressed in inch units with (approximate) metric conversions in parentheses after. The current state, where a size is given as an inaccurate rounded metric value, followed by the correct size in inches, is just confusing because of the rounding. For instance, the height of the type is 0.918 inches, which is 23.3172mm but in the article expressed as 23.3mm. 198.91.146.105 (talk) 19:53, 22 September 2022 (UTC)
