List based on lousy ethnicity concept and dubious datas

[edit]

I can't understand the purpose of this article as the criteria for ethnicity vary among countries, and such datas are not even a census entry in most of them. Even compared with country articles the list is not valid, e.g. for Thailand (ethnic 'minorities' are between 20% and 65% of its population accordibg to various contradictory sources quoted in Thailand-related articles on this en.Wikipedia !). There is a misleading confusion between nationality/citizenship and ethnicity e.g. for Algeria (sizable ethnolinguistic Berber minorities), Jordan (Palestinians are Jordanian citizens with a distinct ethnicity), Lebanon (every ethnoreligious group has its own ethnicity), Morocco (same as Algeria). The whole article should be reviewed and its pertinence assessed. Minorities observer (talk) 17:55, 22 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The whole article is nonsense and the provided sources are old, baseless, unsourced and inaccurate themselves for a good part. 96.21.71.121 (talk) 22:11, 23 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Palestinians and Jordanians are all arabs 90.160.203.44 (talk) 09:50, 10 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Morroco 99%?

[edit]

Morroco has ethnic Berbers and Arabs, also mixed population of both. There's no "morrocan" monoethnic group 90.160.203.44 (talk) 09:49, 10 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Statistics are incorrect

[edit]

This article seems to think that nationality and ethnicity as the same thing, which is not the case. – Treetoes023 (talk) 04:05, 9 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Artsakh

Shouldn’t Spain be on this list?

[edit]

Spain is 88% Ethnic Spaniards, I feel like there are a lot of countries missing here Lukereillyy1 (talk) 15:45, 4 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The Tables in this article should be deleted

[edit]

There doesn't seem to be a coherent definition of ethnicity here, sometimes different ethnic Groups are just put together. Also a lot of numbers here just don't make sense.

I would propose deleting the tables and just letting the article stand as a definition of Monoethnicity. PtDotE (talk) 10:40, 29 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Citation request

[edit]

It would be great if someone can provide a citation saying that 85% should be considered a threshold that a country above it is a monoethnic country — Preceding unsigned comment added by Leoshuo (talkcontribs) 01:09, 16 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
