Why does this page exist?
[edit]Why is there a page about an allusion? Could all of this information be condensed into a sentence and merged into the mono-culture page?--Frozenport (talk) 06:20, 16 July 2011 (UTC)
- I don't know why we need this page either. There are no sources cited. I don't even think it is true, the last sentence, that all Windows operating systems have the same vulnerabilities. Ignoring that detail, I still think this page does more harm than good, because a "computer science monoculture" has a lot of problems in addition to security vulnerabilities. I won't go into details, but I really do think that this article should either be expanded or merged as Frozenport suggested. I don't know where it should go necessarily. It is really just an example of what happens when there is a monopoly provider, the negative aspects of such. What bothers me in particular is that I am finding people linking to this article in the external world (outside of Wikipedia) and it is disappointing to follow the link, merely to find THIS. --FeralOink (talk) 09:43, 1 December 2012 (UTC)
