If you want to improve this article then add the missing sections from 2012-2014 rather than just reverting. You may also choose to expand upon them. Just because you guessed (I suppose because good-quality writing is somehow highly suspicious) that the content came from a news article without actually doing Google searches of the specific writing to verify that baseless assumption doesn't mean your revert is adding more to the site than the content. You can also add citations if they're so critical to the sections that are missing them (2010, 2011, 2012). It's ridiculous that an article this out of date is being "protected" from high-quality current content and that "protection" is based on assumptions with no data and complaints (about lack of citations) that apply to almost the entirety of the other content that was not deleted.
