Where is She Now?

Does anyone have an update on where Monica Lewinsky now works? It's been a while since she graduated from the London School of Economics - and I presume she is doing something.

She went on to be a handbag designer, though news sources have stated that she's not done very well at that. A quick google will show you her website. --Kickstart70TC 06:09, 10 November 2008 (UTC)

I found a legitimate source that alludes to the same, but I'm inclined to leave this out of the article. The main point is that in recent years she's been avoiding the public eye as best she can, and the article already states that. Wasted Time R (talk) 11:54, 30 November 2010 (UTC)

The source for reference #14 isn't in English!!!! Therefore, it's unverifiable in English Wikipedia!!!!

Salvadoran American?

From what I know, her father is born in El Salvador. Shouldn't the article mentione that she is Salvadoran-Jewish-American?

Notable for one event

The subject of this article seems to be notable for only one event, and as such would be covered by wp:BIO1E which states: "Another issue arises when an individual plays a major role in a minor event. In this case, it is not generally appropriate to have an article on both the person and the event. Generally in this case, the name of the person should redirect to the article on the incident." I submit that the Lewinsky scandal article obviously covers the event and that the event itself is minor. As such, i believe that this article should be merged into the a fore mentioned Lewinsky scandal article. Bonewah (talk) 04:26, 18 August 2009 (UTC)

Being the event that lead to a President's impeachment, trial, and acquittal - and subject of thousands and thousands of pages of type - this can hardly be called a "minor event". There is ample interest in both the person and the event - and the two articles overlap but are not at all identical - so I would oppose such a merge. Tvoz/talk 04:52, 18 August 2009 (UTC)

I just dont see Lewinsky herself as noteworthy outside of the Lewinsky scandal, minor or otherwise. What do we say here of import that isnt, or couldnt be said in the Lewinsky scandal article? Bonewah (talk) 14:23, 19 August 2009 (UTC)

Note that the merger discussion has most recently taken place in Talk:Lewinsky_scandal#merger_proposal. However, relevant to this article, in the section that deals with her post-scandal life, I have straightened out the chronology, added citing, and expanded the content. It was missing several important aspects, including the Morton book, her handbag business, the HBO show, her Jenny Craig endorsement saga, her work for British television, the results of her U.S. reality television show, and so forth. As I stated in the other discussion, I believe that Lewinsky would merit a biographical article solely on her role in the scandal, even if she disappeared immediately thereafter. But she didn't disappear, and there's now more than enough activity beyond that one event to support her having a biographical article. Wasted Time R (talk) 14:15, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

Good job on the recent improvements. WP:BIO1E also states "If the event is significant, and if the individual's role within it is substantial, a separate article for the person may be appropriate." This is the case for Lewinsky to have a separate biographical article. Like Alfred Dreyfus of the Dreyfus Affair, Lewinsky will be in history books regardless of her wishes or notability in other areas, so her biography ought to be in an encyclopedia. Rape of Elizabeth Gracen

The Bill Clinton rape of Elizabeth Gracen is claimed by her friend Judy Ann Stokes, not Gracen herself. Gracen admits it's a one night stand. See Elizabeth_Gracen and Film bug [1] and this quote from her: "No, not true. It was consensual. I was married at the time, and so was he. No, I am not proud of it." [2]
