[edit]

Hello, Wikipedians, I would like to make a new article on MONICA, mother of St. Augustine. But this article tells me a plain label "Monica" is not appropriated for the new article. Do you have any good idea? KIZU

I think Monica the singer has her own article somewhere else... I don't know why this is here.

"Monica" should be a disambiguation article, since it seems odd to mention the French rocket "Monica" on an r&b singer's page. If you still plan on writing the article on St Augustine's mother (wasn't she St Monica by the way?) feel free to move this one to "Monica Arnold". Alensha 19:34, 18 Mar 2005 (UTC)

New infobox photo anyone?

[edit]

Is it possibly for someone to upload a new photo for the info box. It's really time for an updated photo. One that is HD and capture a great look.

Mainstream success

[edit]

Monica had achieved some "mainstream" attention before "For You I Will"; "Don't Take It Personal" hit #2 on the pop chart in 1995, while "For You I Will" peaked at #4 in 1997. --Metropolitan90 09:06, 16 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

whistle register??

[edit]

Where does Monica hit any notes in the whistle register? Can someone show me the songs?? I would really like to hear that.

Main Page: Monica (singer) or Monica Arnold?

[edit]

Should the main page be Monica (singer) or should it be Monica Arnold, her name?

Why "#1's" categoryY?

[edit]

I don't think this #1 category is necessary. There is discography, including the songs' chart performances, where every #1's success is already listed - That's enough in my opinion, isn't it?

Native American Descent

[edit]

Does anyone remember or able to find out what tribe Monica is a descendent of?? It's obvious with her physical features but also she has said it on T.V. a while back that she is of Native American heritage and it's stressing me out because just her physical features alone demonstrate Native American descent. Please if anyone can find out please edit it in to her profile. Thank You. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mcelite (talkcontribs) 05:11, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"The Makings of Me" 425,000 copies todate

[edit]

I Have No Idea Why Whoever Is Keep Changing "The Makings of Me" Sells To 250,000 When Monica Have Sold More Then 425,000 copies Today. And "After the Strom" Is Platinum, More Then 997,000 copies

Please Quit. nobody —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.192.90.113 (talk) 01:47, 8 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Heritage and Edit Wars

[edit]

Hi I've been watching this stupid conflict of editing with heritage. This has become a problem within the last 2 weeks I ask why?? Alot of the statements on heritage from what I've seen have been posted for months and now someone has a problem with it. Some of these actors or actress such as: Sanaa Lathan, Meagan Good, Tionne Watkins, Monica Arnold, Jada Pinkett, and Will Smith have verbally said in some interviews that they have other heritage besides African American. That is why I reverted the edit on this article. I believe it is fair especially for people whom clearly show physical features that are in no way Sub-Saharan African, but are Native American or other to be taken seriously. I have a sad suspension that if only for ex. Monica heritage mentioned was African American with the ‹The template Talkfact is being considered for merging.› [citation needed] but after it. That information would not be removed, but because other heritage is included it is targeted. Please negotiate this issue because if you have any knowledge on phenotypic characteristics or have ever listen to these people talk then some type of truce should be met in order not to be biased.131.230.135.14 (talk) 15:06, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree at least with Monica Arnold and a few others. Unless you are completely clueless it is obvious that she is more than just an African American woman. That's just a fact and not to be biased at all. It's reality that some of her physical features are not African American and if you have never seen her than google her and look at some pictures. I added the citation needed thing to be more neutral since apparently IMDB has issues with reliability.131.230.135.7 (talk) 17:01, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Arnold vs Monica

[edit]

The article routinely refers to the singer as Arnold, but this is unconventional and unsuitable. Like Cher and Madonna, she is principally known and referred to by her first name, and should be called "Monica" in this article. Orane (talk) 17:58, 23 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with that.Mcelite (talk) 05:29, 25 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Somneone ruined her PAGE!!! please fix it to previous earlier format!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.80.210.29 (talk) 07:04, 28 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The intro calls her Brown, also. Anyway, I moved the article to Monica Denise Brown. If that throws people off and they can't find the article any more, someone can always move it back to Monica (singer).
While I was at it, I reduced all the other redirects as well.
If the really is as famous as Elvis and Madonna (entertainer), my apologies, but I never heard of her before, and I like knowing people's full names.
Maybe we could say that she is "billed" simply as Monica, but I'd like her biography to tell us when she became famous enough to drop the last name. Uncle Ed (talk) 12:42, 3 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
