Fagor Electrodomésticos bankruptcy production propaganda
[edit]Fagor Electrodomésticos bankruptcy is a serious blow to Mondragon corporation. However, it is strange that the billions dollar loses are not well stated, nor there are much information to reveal whether it is the problem of the corporation policy or simply mislead by investment banks. As typical company that following organic growth rarely falls, unless they walk right into investment bankers quick money trap.
I have found a research paper which I think it worth to expand some of the point ot the Mondragon corporation : Learning from the Bankruptcy of Fagor Electrodomesticos, Reflections at the 2015 CIRIEC Conference in Lisbon, Portugal — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sltan (talk • contribs) 22:53, 6 December 2020 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:MCC logo.gif
[edit]Image:MCC logo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

National Syndicalism??
[edit]Why does the page link to national syndicalism (how is Mondragon associated with Fascism??)? Wouldn't it make more sense to link to either syndicalism, revolutionary syndicalism or anarcho-syndicalism? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.247.85.103 (talk) 00:33, 12 November 2009 (UTC)
- You should read about fascism. Your use is inexact at best. National syndicalism may be as fascist as communism, or any revolutionary movement you mentioned. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.222.95.208 (talk) 01:17, 27 March 2016 (UTC)
Neutrality?
[edit]A lot of the prose in this article comes across as glowingly approving, with a lot of canned platitudes and essentially no acknowledgement of the potential negatives of the approach.
I think this article is propaganda.
- is just a copy and paste from the group web page like general information but if u say that is propaganta that is stupid —Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.182.130.21 (talk) 17:29, 28 June 2010 (UTC)
I agree it appears to be a self published page - With out NPOV all or most of the links go back to a self published Websites and is against Wiki NPOV --- Propaganda --Kimmy (talk) 13:30, 7 October 2010 (UTC)
Why was the 'Backlash' section removed? I remember seeing it some years ago: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Mondragon_Corporation&oldid=174838831 92.249.121.125 (talk) 10:56, 11 May 2011 (UTC)
- What's your source for suggesting there are negatives? The only thing that's negative is your dogmatic and biased political beliefs.

I might look and see if some of that is worth restoring. anamedperson (talk) 22:10, 13 July 2013 (UTC)- Nevermind it's all unsourced. anamedperson (talk) 22:12, 13 July 2013 (UTC)
I am pro-labor and pro-worker and I am interested in hearing an open discussion of MC's labor practices. This article, even from my progressive perspective is biased and promotional. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.255.159.101 (talk) 00:35, 26 June 2012 (UTC)
- I think that the issue, other than the fact that this is written like an advertisement, is that pretty much all of the sources are either associated with the organization or are ideologically pro-labor as well. I added a template about that. I too think it would be better if there were an actual NPOV discussion of things. I made a start with that by qualifying and softening some of the overdone praise.anamedperson (talk) 22:10, 13 July 2013 (UTC)
Use "income" or "revenue" in place of "turnover"?
[edit]Turnover is a vague term with inconsistent meanings. Its use here for revenue or income is confusing since the usual usage refers to the rate of change in inventory or employment.Frappyjohn (talk) 09:14, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
Typography
[edit]Mondragon should not be all capitals -- prose text should not attempt to recreate the artistic text styling of a logo.
There are numerous other annoyances such as "the Co-operatives" which I will leave someone (who is a native English speaker) to identify and correct.
Logo
[edit]Is it merely coincidence the logo resembles the flag of the Spanish Republic? 71.173.20.108 (talk) 17:28, 10 February 2014 (UTC)
- The flags of the Spanish Republic had stripes in other colours. I had notice of nobody who found this logo resembled any of them. --Javierme (talk) 16:22, 11 February 2014 (UTC)

It is the largest cooperative in the world
[edit]I removed that line from the article. I don't know when this was written but as of 2021 (and probably earlier) it's factually wrong; the biggest cooperation that I know of (there may be a bigger one) is Huawei, which in its wiki article is bigger in terms of employees and revenue, and possibly areas served. The source is also all wrong; their link to prove that Mondragon is the biggest cooperative in the world is this very article.
(Responding to person above who forgot to sign) Huawei is not a cooperative. They refer to themselves as "employee-owned" because they issue what they call "virtual shares" to employees, but the business seems to be owned by the municipal government of Shenzhen, not by its employees. From what I can gather the shares mean that employees are entitled to a portion of the company's gains or losses, but come with no voting rights or management control in any way shape or form. As for the specific question of whether Mondragon is still the world's largest cooperative, I don't actually think Mondragon is a cooperative _at all_ - it's a federation of individual cooperatives of various sizes. 2601:405:8600:D630:ECBC:ED40:2E26:FCDF (talk) 02:07, 31 August 2021 (UTC)
