Notability

[edit]

I have tagged this BIO for Notability. There do not appear to be secondary sources that would have this be anything of than possibly a WP:BIO1E due to her hunger strike which appears to have been covered in French media.

  • Echo Magazine, interview with Mona Vasquez, October 2004, "Scientology, a true control".
This is an anti-Scientolgy group interview and not a reliable source
  • Dahlburg, John-Thor (2000-02-29). "Report Urges Dissolution of Scientology Church in France".
Vasquez is quoted in the piece but it is not about her at all, does not establish Notability
  • prison sans barreaux, scientologie, sortir d'une secte
This appears to be a poem written by Vasquez, although some pieces contradict her BIO (she mentions her children - plural when her bio said she has only one, for instance)
  • The prison without bars- Mona Vasquez. La Croix, 4th of June, 2004. Mirrored here.
Same as above
  • "Décès de Mona Vasquez" (in French). UNADFI. Retrieved 13 December 2011.
Obituary, no notability established

You seem intent on removing all the articles on participants of the Landmark-critical documentary Voyage au Pays des nouveaux gourous...

The first reference is an interview, the source is Vasquez herself. The second mentions her in context of scientology - she also testified for the official governmental report the article is talking about. 3 and 4 - from the newspaper article, la-croix (I've fixed the url) the last reference says "Courageusement, pendant plusieurs années et à de très nombreuses reprises, Mona avait témoigné dans la presse et les médias audiovisuels sur son « errance » dans la Scientologie. Passionnée, elle était aussi poète et peintre. Ses dernières créations sur les thèmes des roses et de l’eau avaient été exposées en mai dernier à la Galerie 113 à Castelnaudary dans l’Aude." translation: "Courageously for several years and on numerous occasions, Mona had testified in the press and broadcast media on her " wandering" in Scientology. Passionate, she was also a poet and painter. Her latest creations on the themes of roses and water were exposed last May at Gallery 113 in Castelnaudary in the Aude" - notable not only as an ex-scientologist and in the media, but also as an artist. Thank you for updating the citations. I meant to do so and my browser froze (teaching me for the nth time to copy/paste into notepad more often). It doesn't seem likely that the additions have the article meet WP:BIO or WP:AUTHOR, but perhaps others will have some new sources as well. Tgeairn (talk) 07:06, 19 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
