  • Support: I propose that Momo Hirai be merged into Twice (band). Like what happened earlier this year, I think Momo is STILL not individually notable. Her current individual page is already summarized on the group's page. Accireioj (talk) 14:23, 7 November 2016 (UTC)
  • Support: Not notable and will stay not-notable in the near future as she obviously wont have a solo musical releases since she cant sing at all, she would need to became an actress in drama to became individually notable 86.58.36.145 (talk) 17:43, 7 November 2016 (UTC)
  • Support: Wait until she has notable solo activities before creating the page.
  • Comment: Also, some user is keep recreating Sana and Mina articles, those should be deleted as well 86.58.36.145 (talk) 18:46, 10 November 2016 (UTC)
  • Support: I entirely agree, I have been editing both the Momo Hirai and Mina Myoui articles solely for means of keeping them as useful sources, but in my opinion they are not at all needed especially since neither of the two (and also Sana's article which is constantly off and on) have done nothing notable unlike fellow band member Chou Tzu-yu. The articles themselves are just acting as extension's which is completely uneeded at this moment in time. Abdotorg (talk) 19:41, 10 November 2016 (UTC)
  • Support: Support per nom. Article for the group already summarize her individual life. No need to have her own article until she does something notable. Bagas Chrisara (talk) 10:25, 12 November 2016 (UTC)
  • Support She still hasn't reached the point yet where she has enough individual activities that a separate page is needed.Peachywink (talk) 14:57, 14 November 2016 (UTC)

Notability

The page was already deleted once (look at Talk:Momo Hirai), she is still not notable to have an article, evertyhing in this article is aleady at Twice (band)#Members, and that "Singer" in the title is also unneeded since no other notable person by name "Momo Hirai" exists 86.58.36.145 (talk) 17:31, 24 October 2016 (UTC)

Article restored

I've restored the article as she has been voted the 20th most popular idol in Korea in Gallup's annual music poll, and one of the highest ranking non-Korean entertainers. Meets WP:ENTERTAINER. I've also added multiple sources of in-depth coverage about her in English-language media. -Zanhe (talk) 00:20, 13 June 2019 (UTC)

She is also a major biblical figure though Snowflake91 (talk) 17:05, 13 June 2019 (UTC)

page move

this article should be moved back to Hirai Momo cause she’s Japanese and that’s the proper way to write it out. the Hirai Momo mentioned above at the List of major biblical figures was just vandalism on that article and I’ve already reverted that edit. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 112.200.202.247 (talk) 18:07, 13 June 2019 (UTC)

All Japan-related articles are using this format per English naming conventions. Snowflake91 (talk) 18:17, 13 June 2019 (UTC)

Change article name?

Since Momo is known mononymously, should this article be moved to: Momo (singer)? In the same way that Sana is currently known as Sana (singer) Apples&Manzanas (talk) 02:07, 30 November 2019 (UTC)

:Mina (singer) is currently a redirect to Mina (Italian singer). Whether that changed would depend on who, if either of them, was the primary topic. Japanese singer would be used as Mina’s disambiguation term because she is Japanese. Using Korean singer would be false, she may sing in Korean but she isn’t Korean (noted from your comment on the draft article talk page). As it currently, I see no reason to use a disambiguation term where one isn’t needed. What may work fornonr article doesn’t necessarily mean all others should use the same method. Alex (talk) 03:56, 30 November 2019 (UTC)

I'm confused by your message. This article is about Momo not Mina. Did you place your comment in the wrong place by accident? Apples&Manzanas (talk) 04:01, 30 November 2019 (UTC)
@Apples&Manzanas: Apologies, I’ve had multiple tabs open and I’ve either mixed up the tabs or read it wrong, not entirely sure how. Although part of my comment still stands. Momo (singer) is a redirect to Momo, a disambiguation page, and again that would only change depending on who was the primary topic. So the disambiguation would be to Momo (Japanese singer). I still don’t see the need to move a page to a disambiguated title if it isn’t needed. Alex (talk) 04:13, 30 November 2019 (UTC)
I’ve stroked through my initial comment, but looking back I have no clue how I managed to mix up the two articles like that so badly…that’s a jumbled mess. Sorry again Alex (talk) 04:23, 30 November 2019 (UTC)
No problem! I see, that's a fair point, there are multiple Japanese singers called Momo. Yes, I agree this article is properly named then. Apples&Manzanas (talk) 04:26, 30 November 2019 (UTC)
