What?
[edit]The article starts with this statement:
- "Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a forum for advertising or self-promotion, or a vanity press."
On [|7 Aug 2007], anonymous IP 70.254.233.130 added this line, then blanked the page.
On [|9 Aug 2007], anonymous IP 66.137.172.53 unblanked the article, left this line, and fleshed out the article with more information. Unfortunately, most of the new information was probably copyvio.
In the next revision, UniQue tree apparently didn't see the last change, and reverted 70.254.233.130's second vandalism by restoring his earlier vandalism, with this line in place and all of the new information lost.
Since then, there have been only minor edits (plus one vandalism and reversion).
Someone with more time and experience than me should sort this out, but for now, I'm going to remove that line from the article.
Any by the way, to 70.254.233.130: This is hardly a vanity article. Molly Jong-Fast is a notable writer, if only for the fact that her mother, father, and grandfather were among the most famous writers in 20th century America, and the fact that she's been written about more than she's been published. --76.203.74.244 (talk) 00:08, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
"Molly is a notable writer... because her parents were writers" "Molly is a notable writer... because she has been written about." Neither of these arguments make any sense at all. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.183.192.20 (talk) 05:52, 21 October 2020 (UTC) Congrats on bumping a post from when W was president. Stylistic signature?
[edit]This article has five successive sentences that begin with the word "She." I noted that the quote from her book, that is included in her mother's Wiki article, has five sentences that begin with the word "Grandma." The same person seems to have written both pages.Lestrade (talk) 16:47, 3 May 2008 (UTC)Lestrade
- Did the same person also write A Tale of Two Cities? They (or rather their "stylistic signature") must really get around. Just saying. —Sangdeboeuf (talk) 05:24, 4 October 2020 (UTC)
