Criticism of Republican health care reform
[edit]It seems that Molina has an important involvement in politics which this entry doesn't get into.

As Rivals Stand Silent, One Health Insurer Protests G.O.P. Plan
By REED ABELSON
MARCH 22, 2017
LONG BEACH, Calif. — In recent weeks, Dr. J. Mario Molina has anxiously approached lawmakers on Capitol Hill and governors across the country, warning them that the Republican efforts to overhaul the health care system could be devastating for insurers and patients alike.
As head of the California company founded by his father, Dr. Molina has become one of the few insurance executives publicly criticizing the House bill, which he believes could strip away coverage for millions of their clients and cause considerable turmoil for the insurance industry.

Dr. J. Mario Molina, the outspoken chief executive of the California health insurance company founded by his father, was abruptly removed from his position at Molina Healthcare, according to an announcement by the company on Tuesday. His brother, John, was also immediately replaced as the chief financial officer.
Dr. Molina, the subject of a profile in The New York Times this year, was one of the foremost critics of the steps taken by the Trump administration and Republicans in Congress to overhaul the federal health care law. Under his leadership, Molina, which specializes in providing care to low-income individuals, had become a mainstay of the individual insurance markets created by the law.

Firing of CEO
[edit]Just wanted to add a note here re my recent edit, in which I hid from view some content on the firing of the CEO. I did this because it was largely duplicate info and partially unsourced, including some claims which absolutely need a source (the reasons behind his firing, people's political motivations, etc.). If someone can provide citations and integrate this content better into the article, it could be re-added. If legit info, it's valuable and interesting context. Thanks. Self Promotion
[edit]This whole article reads like a PR handout. A sweep for that and just removing all the one sentence sections is needed. Frohike14 (talk) 09:48, 12 February 2019 (UTC)
