I have a bunch of numbers about the environmental ranges(such as depth ranges, oxygen, salinity, nitrate, temp range) of mogula manhattensis. It is from the Encyclopedia of Life, I don't want to directly copy it in case of plagiarism. Should i make the numbers into a graph and cite it? Any help on how I can input the info without getting in trouble for plagiarizing.Nobody2u (talk) 15:07, 23 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Nice edits so far. A couple of comments:
1) The first section changes from singular to plural "it" to "they" and unifying this to all plural or all singular would make it flow better and be easier to read.
2) The phase "is a soft rubbery feeling" could be changed to something more professional. In the same section, the phrase "kind of transparent, being able to look at some of its organs" doesn't make grammatical sense and the language seems a little too informal. The grammar also lapses again with: "Inside the organism, consists the ability to release sperm or egg into the water to fertilize/or be fertilized."
3) The history portion has things other than history in it and maybe some of the material here should be placed elsewhere.
4) The references subheading also needs to be fixed.
Otherwise, nice job so far! Amritochondria (talk) 14:42, 21 October 2016 (UTC)amritochondria[reply]

Good job! Maybe in the beginning you can include a short summary of what a "tunicate" is or add a link to another page that would provide more information. Minxbrawl (talk) 14:51, 21 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Nice work so far, identification looks pretty good given how specific the organism is. Would it be possible to find an image of the organism and put it in the article?Norco29er (talk) 15:06, 21 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Range of Organism

[edit]

The introduction reads: 'Although it is native to this region, it has been introduced to other areas of Europe, Australia, and the West Coast. They are not found on the West Pacific Coast of the United States.' In the United States, 'West Coast' is the general term for 'West Pacific Coast'. This being the case, the tunicate can't have been introduced to the West Coast if they are not found there. In fact, they are found in the Northwest, at least, where they are considered an invasive species. https://wdfw.wa.gov/publications/00106 I will delete the contradictory sentence from the article.

Broken Link The link for the first citation article citation is dead. I will replace it with the link above.
