County Town
[edit]If the county town of Flintshire were Mold, then the county would be called Moldshire, which it isn't. The county town of Flintshire is Flint.
- Flint is the traditional county town - Flintshire is an old name. Mold is the administrative centre of Flintshire containing Shire Hall: important county offices, and County Court. --Nicander
New name
[edit]I believe this article should be at Mold (town) because it is the only town named Mold with an article on wiki (confer Cork's article at Cork (city) instead of Cork, Ireland, which is a disambiguation page). Any ideas? -- 92.9.133.5 (talk) 19:07, 5 September 2010 (UTC)
- I don't see anything else with Mold in it to disambiguate, although there are plenty of terms for Cork. --Snowded TALK 19:54, 6 September 2010 (UTC)
Mold Riot section seems curiously detailed
[edit]Nothing wrong with it, but you have the makings of a post-mortem there in the Mold riot section. Do we really need to know things in that sort of fine detail? Seems a bit odd is all. Shtanto (talk) 09:07, 27 August 2012 (UTC)
- I'd be more inclined to say that other aspects should be extended - the role of the castle in the start of each of the Edwardian wars of conquest for example. As it is that is a significant part of Mold's history with the added aspect of linking to Daniel Owen. ----Snowded TALK 10:57, 27 August 2012 (UTC)
Bronze Age
[edit]The archaeology before the 5th century is missing. There is a nice picture of the Mold Cape, but no mention of it or any other early material.Kdammers (talk) 00:01, 13 January 2016 (UTC)
