Inclusion of Controversies section

This bar has recently been the focus of controversy in local news, due to assaults by staff members and alleged inappropriate behaviour by one of the owners. This resulted in boycotts by noteworthy acts and was featured in musical news sources.

There was previously a section of this article that read:

Controversies

In 2021 the bar temporarily closed following the resignation of its then-owner Andrew Ryan, following several allegations that his behaviour had "caused others to become uncomfortable".

The following year, a staff member at the bar was fired following allegations that she had shoved a member of the band 'Body Horrors'.^[1] After this incident, various WA bands including 'Lauren & The Goodfights', and 'Noah Dillon' cancelled their shows at the venue.^[2] The venue later apologised.^[3]
