Fair use rationale for Image:Mobydick.jpg

[edit]

Image:Mobydick.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use there is explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Colloquial name ?

[edit]

The article states: "The restaurants are known colloquially by Washington area residents as "Moby's"

As a 40-year resident of the Washington, D.C. area and the designer of the original logo for the Moby Dick House of Kabob restaurant when they opened in Bethesda in 1989, I can say that I have never heard of the restaurant chain being called "Moby's" -- for which I am grateful. —Preceding unsigned comment added by CLSwiki (talkcontribs) 23:57, 10 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Removing Incident

[edit]

I went ahead and removed a non-notable incident. Currently their are 17 chain restaurants under this brand, and the simple fact that a non-lethal shooting took place at one establishment in the year 2000, 18 years ago, is non-notable to say the least. No reason it should take up 1/3 of the article's length. The incident does not even have it's own Wikipedia page! 75.142.111.231 (talk) 19:13, 16 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Shooting

[edit]

Apparently one user is concerned this is not a noteworthy incident. I disagree: there exists wp:RS for that event which contributes holistically to the history of the topic in question. BrxBrx(talk)(please reply with { {re|BrxBrx}}) 15:52, 16 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
