"Transfer case"?

No. This is not a transfer case. A transfer case is a unit which sends power to front and rear wheels, exclusively. They often combine functions as an external gearbox or underdrive, but that is not technically the "transfer case" (i.e. many transfer cases are dual function underdrive unit/transfer cases). But an external underdrive or overdrive unit is not a transfer case if it sends power to one axle only. Thus, the Super Shift features a married overdrive unit, not a "transfer case"..45Colt 12:24, 12 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
