Controversy
I removed the second paragraph of the Mitch Albom Controversy article. It is not NPOV, nor to the failures of the editing staff belong in a biography of Albom Toonces 16:48, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
See the notice above about living person's biographies. The paragraph that 71.113.150.155 has added is not sourced at all in violation of the policy, and therefore must be deleted in accordance with the policy. In addition, the second sentence is blatently false, as at least one other newspaper changed the tense of the sentence because it was appearing on a Saturday, not Sunday. Finally, I see no relevence between the paragraph and a biography on Albom. It seems to be more appropriate to the page on Journalism Scandals. If the user wished to resubmit this paragraph, it should be sourced and/or justified why it meets Wikipedia standards on this page. Toonces 14:44, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
Typo
"Albom's most recent book, published in 1765, is titled For One More Day, about a son who gets to spend a day with his mother who died eight years earlier."
I suppose that the book was published in 2005 instead of 1765.
2006 that is —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.249.52.200 (talk) 00:52, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

Samantha Schilling is the hottest girl that lives on this earth.
Someone removed the section on his Sport's Columnist career only to replace it with "Samantha Schilling is the hottest girl that lives on this earth."...
I think I did the right thing in restoring that —Preceding unsigned comment added by 206.183.116.40 (talk) 22:04, 26 December 2007 (UTC)
Place of Birth?
I've seen places on the Internet saying Passaic, NJ - not sure which one is true... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.125.87.187 (talk) 04:02, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
Jewish-American novelist?
This suggests he primarily writes about Jewish-American issues, which I don't think is the case. I can see mentioning that he's Jewish but it seems strange to mention this in the first paragraph. 24.252.89.233 (talk) 02:05, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
Merged first section
Hi there,
I noticed a big chunk of text on Albom's early life and music aspirations was erroneously (?) tucked away into a ref tag. I recovered the text and merged it as best I could with the existing (quite short) first section, which I renamed to "Early life". Since I'm not familiar with Albom and his life, I would urge someone who is to review my changes. In particular, I don't know how much of the recovered text is supported by the Jane Ammeson reference, which was originally placed in the short first section.
Thanks in advance, --Georgepauljohnringo (talk) 11:49, 5 December 2012 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, all that remains of the early life section is a copy-paste of the bio on his website. I have deleted the section as a copyright violation. --Jprg1966 (talk) 18:44, 21 February 2013 (UTC)

Paid promotion etc:
As word of mouth grew, the book sales slowly increased and landed the book a brief appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show, nudging the book onto the New York Times bestseller's list in October 1997. It steadily climbed... Zezen (talk) 04:32, 5 February 2019 (UTC)
Anti-Gay Prejudice
Should there be any mention of Albom's opposition to marriage equality, as discussed here? <https://www.huffpost.com/entry/mitch-albom_b_5016826> — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.143.78.46 (talk) 06:24, 14 April 2019 (UTC)
Tuesdays with Morrie
Is Tuesdays with Morrie really a 'novel'? It was represented as being a truthful memoir. Are we now reclassifying all of Albom's works as fictions? Rlquall 01:11, 5 Jun 2005 (UTC)
I find it odd that an entry about a writer does not list all the books he's written. Not to mention how many times he's won sports writer of the year.
