Writing and coverage
[edit]- Generally, there should be a non-breaking space between "MS" and the route number. E.g.
MS 47
located in the U.S. State
- "state" should be lowercase
, and it intersects MS 8 in Trebloc.
- which county?
MS 8 was rerouted through Trebloc by 1944
- I think this would be better with the preceding sentence, rather than the following sentence.
northwestwards, northeastward
, etc - would it be more concise to say "northwest"/"northeast"/etc?
County line Road
- is this supposed to be capitalized?
- Yes, fixed. Nova Crystallis (Talk) 22:37, 10 April 2020 (UTC)
and state maintenance ends at Aberdeen Road near Buena Vista.[7] The road continues as MS 385, which travels into the Tombigbee National Forest
- Correct me if I'm wrong, but if MS 385 is also a state road, isn't it also maintained by the state? In that case, it may be better to note that the MS 47 designation ends at Aberdeen Road.
- MS 385 is not maintained by the state, hence the sign. Nova Crystallis (Talk) 22:37, 10 April 2020 (UTC)
- Oh, OK. I just now noticed that
The entire length of MS 385 is maintained by Chickasaw County.
epicgenius (talk) 22:58, 10 April 2020 (UTC)
- Oh, OK. I just now noticed that
the northern terminus of MS 47 remained at the area
- what area? You mean the terminus remained at the same place?
- Changed the pronoun to the actual name. Nova Crystallis (Talk) 22:37, 10 April 2020 (UTC)
The section from Trebloc to Buena Vista was also paved by 1958, after being proposed in July 1957
- maybe reorder chronologically
The history section is quite short, but that's expected for a rural road. epicgenius (talk) 21:34, 10 April 2020 (UTC)
Sources/notes
[edit]No problems here. Most of the refs are to the Mississippi State Highway Commission, with one news ref, two Google Maps refs, and a ref to a state code. I'd personally think there would be more third-party sources, but since this is a rural road, there might not be any more of note. epicgenius (talk) 21:34, 10 April 2020 (UTC)
- The only other newspaper mentions were projects that had no significance to the route itself, and they never had completion dates. The searches only showed real estate websites. Nova Crystallis (Talk) 22:37, 10 April 2020 (UTC)
POV
[edit]No problems here too.
