Proposal for layout
[edit]Things are getting a bit silly with all of the lengthy tables. Do we really intended to list almost half of the contestants in the Results table? And do we really need the Challenge tables to each identify the Top 30? I propose that we expand the main Contestants table to include two new columns. First, a column for "Placement", which is where we would identify the Top 40 finalists, subject to revision if they reach a higher level. Second, a column for "Notes", which can house all of the other results (e.g., Top 30 in Talent Challenge). After these new columns are added, the existing tables can be limited to just the winner and top runners-up. Also, the Notes column would be a good place to move all of the "designation" information that appears in the section near the end of the draft. NewYorkActuary (talk) 23:03, 11 November 2017 (UTC)
- Sorry, but I strongly disagree on the Top 40 part. The placements table should include all of the contestants who placed in the competition, it is misleading to include only some of them. If a reader is coming to see who placed in the competition, it's unlikely they'll continue scrolling all the way down to see the rest of the placements, and they likely won't even know to do that. The placements table should include everyone who placed in the competition for clarity. As for the various challenge events, I don't really mind what happens to them. They clog up the article, but I don't know if I necessarily want to get rid of all of them. Maybe just include the winners and runner-ups instead of all the people who took part? { [ ( jjj 1238 ) ] } 23:09, 11 November 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks for the quick response. As for the Challenge events, my proposal does include leaving the winners and the top runners-up as separately identified lists. As for the main Top 40, it's unfortunate that we disagree. But perhaps there's a middle ground here -- the main results table could be expanded horizontally to include Top 25 and Top 40 as separate columns. That way, there wouldn't be so much white space that all of these one-column lists are creating. NewYorkActuary (talk) 23:26, 11 November 2017 (UTC)
- I definitely would support that proposal. I'm not too technically competent on Wikipedia, but is it possible we could also maybe just make the Top 25 and Top 40 sections collapsible, but remaining on the regular table? I don't know if it's possible but if it is then I would probably prefer that. { [ ( jjj 1238 ) ] } 23:30, 11 November 2017 (UTC)

[edit]We sincerely ask all of you to change the place of origin of our proud Miss World Indonesia, Achintya Nilsen.. she is from Denpasar City, not Lombok, because Lombok is only where she auditioned, not where she was born and her extended family comes from.
