Article says: Controversy - The November 29, 1963, episode was pulled from syndication because one of the characters fantasized about saving the President of the United States' life—one week after John F. Kennedy was assassinated. Cartoonists prepare their strips many weeks before publication.[6]

It's certainly possible that the strip originally planned for November 29th mentioned the president, although your source of Editor & Publisher is of no help, since it merely directs to that magazine's Wiki page. But on November 29th, the Miss Peach strip that actually ran had nothing to do with the president, and this strip was internally dated "11/29" as you would expect. There could have been a substitution, but if so, it was not a controversy, since nobody outside of the industry knew about it. At least three major newspapers, the New York Times, the Chicago Tribune, and the Boston Globe, reported nothing about a withdrawn Miss Peach strip. 74.104.189.176 (talk) 01:33, 22 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
