Taxonomy: For all marine species, Project Gastropods uses the taxonomy in the online database WoRMS. When starting a new article, do not use sources of taxonomic information that predate the 2017 revision for all gastropod groups ("Revised Classification, Nomenclator and Typification of Gastropod and Monoplacophoran Families" by Philippe Bouchet & Jean-Pierre Rocroi, Bernhard Hausdorf, Andrzej Kaim, Yasunori Kano, Alexander Nützel, Pavel Parkhaev, Michael Schrödl and Ellen E. Strong in Malacologia, 2017, 61(1–2): 1–526.) (can be dowloaded at Researchgate.net), substituting the previous classification of 2005 Taxonomy of the Gastropoda (Bouchet & Rocroi, 2005). If you need help with any aspect of an article, please leave a note at the Project talk page.

This is a new stub. I am still attempting to demonstrate the notability of this subject by improving what references I have used. But I have not had much experience with creating articles on scientific journals, so please, if you can, I would be delighted if you would help me out with this. If you are not able to do that, please let me know what is acceptable and what is not acceptable and why, so that I can hopefully come up with something better. Many thanks, Invertzoo (talk) 16:21, 30 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Just a reference here or there to the journal won't do. Have a look at WP:NJournals and WP:JWG, that may help you. Meanwhile, the article is not in any immediate danger of getting deleted, so don't get frantic :-) --Randykitty (talk) 16:27, 30 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
