Someone who can fix up the tables for the respective years would be great, as would someone who can find further information. I believe the person to contact would be Sue DeNio (sdenio@lcsc.org). Cheers.

Clean Up

[edit]

Is it possible to tabulate all the historical data at the State Meet this year? Also what do we need to clean up, really? 16:33, 30 March 2007 (UTC)

How's that for clean up? I'll finish when I get back to school next week. -CL, Chaska —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.5.85.241 (talk) 03:13, 15 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A bit of the data was lost in it (2006-2007), but that can be recovered from the page history, I believe. If I can muster through the coding in the next couple days, I'll try to sort it out and reintroduce a bit of prose and some linking to schools. matt91486 (talk) 08:11, 15 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I would also argue that we don't really need to keep data on 4-6th place, even if it was around before. If there are no huge objections to it, I think we can limit it to top 3 safely. matt91486 (talk) 08:13, 15 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

-I went with 1st - 6th since that's what they award trophies for. I've got the complete results going back quite far, but they're at school. I only put in what I've got here at home for now. Next week I'll pick them up at school and put them in. Any reason NOT to track places 1-6? -CL, Chaska 74.5.85.241 (talk) 13:31, 20 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • --Well, just typically, if you look at results pages for any competition, top 3 is typically what's tracked. That's the only major reason. matt91486 (talk) 16:44, 20 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
    • OK, I've linked to the first appearance of each school with an article in the table. Schools without articles, I haven't red-linked yet, but that can be done by looking at List of high schools in Minnesota. And if there's a general desire to link every appearance in the table, that can be done by just copying the links already there. Also, a quick question, since you're as likely to as anyone, do you happen to have any newspaper articles saved anywhere about it that could be used to write a more general prose introduction - I might have a couple clippings, but they'd be limited in time frame. Internet archive searches are also easy enough, but I figured if you happened to have any around it would be handy. It's easier to find what's there if you already know what you're looking for. matt91486 (talk) 17:03, 20 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
      • Nice. I've now filled in most of the top 6 that I have records for, and will finish the rest shortly. Any reason to not just link all the school names? And just out of curiosity, who are you? -CL 74.5.85.241 (talk) 22:27, 10 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
