[edit]Was Minnehaha an actual figure from Native American myth, or was she invented by Longfellow? I'd like to know because I'm not sure if she should be added into the Fictional Native Americans category or into the Native American mythology categories. Asarelah 19:55, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
The first sentence says: "Minnehaha is a mythic Native American woman". That seems to make it clear that she was invented by Longfellow (who never even set foot in Minnesota, I believe). T-bonham 00:13, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
- "Mythic" can refer to traditional Native American myths, so I wasn't clear about it. I'll change "mythic" to "fictional". Asarelah 00:30, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
