Any page about the Skyway system should include a reference to The Replacements' song "Skyway". Someone who has never been to Minneapolis would not likely know the Skyways existed if not for the song. Even before having ever seen or heard accounts of them, people have likely spent considerable time trying to imagine what the Skyways must be like just from the very indirect way they are described in the song. Thanks to the song it's likely that Skyways have received vastly more contemplation by millions of Replacements fans than they would have had the song not been published. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Vanchopski (talk • contribs) 19:40, 18 March 2010 (UTC)
I agree with Vanchopski about the Replacements song. Also, I'm not sure why the article lists the University of Minnesota as being connected to the skyway network. The UofM does have the "Gopher Way" tunnel system, but I'm pretty positive that is not considered part of the downtown skyway. - Tomqj
- Added a note on the song as a cultural reference to the skyway system. Nsteffel (talk) 15:37, 26 January 2016 (UTC)
