Quite trivial
[edit]Yes you can use Data mining after Web scraping, why do need separate page on Wikipedia for this? Ushkin N (talk) 11:52, 24 May 2016 (UTC)
Cannonical Research Topic
[edit]For many years now Mining Software Repositories has been a canonical topic since 2004. They offer a conference co-located with the International Conference on Software Engineering by the Association of Computing Machinery. Whether WP decides to include an entry or not is not my call. But I object to categorizing it as "quite trivial" as it has been a vital research topic for well over a decade now. Dfletter (talk) 21:58, 15 November 2017 (UTC)
Problems
[edit]mailing list archives, bug tracking systems, issue tracking systems
are not software repositories.
Herzig and Zeller define ”mining software archives” as a process to ”obtain lots of initial evidence” by extracting data from software repositories.
That is no definition.
