Merge

[edit]

It seems like a good idea to merge Miniature effect into the Miniatures and Models for Motion Pictures page. The information would fit well in the general information section of the models and miniatures page.

I've completed the merge to this page bc it is a more "proper" title according to WP:MOS. The vast majority of the content, however, is more or less cut and pasted from the other page. Girolamo Savonarola 04:04, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Merger proposed (Slurpasaur)

The result was Merge Slurpasaur into Miniature effect, by silent consensus. --B. Wolterding 08:13, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I propose to merge the content of Slurpasaur into here, since the notability of that article has been questioned. I'm not an expert, but from the articles it seems that Slurpasaurs are just a special variant of miniature effects, using animals. Please add your comments below.

Proposed as part of the Notability wikiproject. --B. Wolterding 16:22, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Slurpasaur

[edit]

The whole "Slurpasaur" section may be a hoax. I haven't found usage of the term before 2011 when it was first started to appear on Wikipedia itself. There are some usages AFTER it appeared on Wikipedia so be wary of cite-o-genesis issues. Jason Quinn (talk) 02:38, 21 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I came here because there was a 'see also' leading here from Journey. My two cents. Even if it was a term used by people in the industry (which seems dubious, what does 'slurping' have to do with it?), I see zero references in that section. It ought to, at minimum, be moved to the talk page. If sources are not found within an agreed time period, it should simply be deleted.ZarhanFastfire (talk) 08:09, 13 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Dunno if the name is real or not, but the actual method of using small lizards and the like and filming them in a way so they looked like big dinosaurs was actually done in films like One Million B.C. and it even gets linked to here but now there's absolutely nothing about that practice at all on this page. 86.8.114.154 (talk) 23:12, 1 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
