1 Billion Neural Patheways
[edit]Hahaha, that's got to be the most unsubstantiated unsubstantiable pseudoscientific claim i have ever heard. I'm extremely curious where that number even came from. Perhaps from George Dubya's scientic advisors.
- Shitsticks like you need to make everything into a political debate?
I removed the following:
When it is sent to the past, two small children find the box and discover that the future is in danger because of tiny air pollutants that are destroying the future bit by bit.
as it refers to the plot of the upcoming movie, which is not a part of the story's plot.
- The motive of sending toys to the past is made very clear in the movie (and is elegant). By removing this film's motive, above, the plot summary is left without a motive for time travel. Geologist (talk) 00:28, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
The beginning of the explanation of the plot summary is complete nonsense.
I've read the book. There is nothing about "genius level arithmetic and language." ONLY the "x-logic" is taught. This needs to be fixed.
Plot synopsis rewrite
[edit]As noted above, there were some inconsistencies between the article's synopsis and events in the short story. Although it's been awhile since I've read the story, I took a stab at adjusting a few points. I'll re-read MWTB soon and take another stab at condensing it (unless someone else gets to it first). — Jim Dunning talk : 04:53, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
Adding link to The Last Mimzy
[edit]Obviously there should be mention made that the new movie The Last Mimzy was (albeit with a lot of liberties!) based upon this story. I don't know how to do that, to edit the page in that way, but I thought if I left this note, someone out there will. =)
