On 2014-08-01 Mimas ceased to be part of the University of Manchester and was transferred into Jisc. This process was effected under the TUPE Regulations 2006. This follows the publication of the Wilson Report [HEFCE Review of JISC] and an internal University of Manchester review of the externally facing services of Manchester Computing (Mimas and RCS).
At the time of writing, staff are located on the University Campus, split between the Reynolds Building on Brunswick Street and the Sackville Street Building while preparations are made to relocate to a new Jisc office to be located on the top floor of Churchgate House.
Mimas now sits within the Jisc holding company, part of the Digital Resources unit and a rebranding exercise is underway.
