Just a comment on the removal of what was there, it's not really biased, cause its true, but I can see why it was removed. 70.232.40.100 07:32, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
Same thing with this second edit, the part in question that was removed was partially correct. Mr. Phillips seriously was the majority of the Mills Soccer attack force. A sad fact. Winning states wouldnt have happened like that claim said, but it didn't help that the top player got a bad case of senior-itis. 70.232.41.40 01:41, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
Irrelevant, violates NPOV, and unsourced. Placing the phrase "some would argue" in front of your poorly formed opinion does not make it fit for Wikipedia. Colebert (talk) 00:12, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
Origin of the TAG Specialty Program
[edit]I wonder if there shouldn't be a section devoted to the origin and history of the TAG Specialty Program in general. It is my understanding (as a graduate of one of the original first three classes) that the program was conceived during the Bobby Lester administration in the early ninties as a way not only to enrich "Gifted and Talented" students from around the district but also to help raise --for purposes of the desgregation lawsuit-- the average test scores at three of the districts worst performing schools (College Station, Fuller, and Mills.) And thus why the program was incorporated at these three schools. Colebert (talk) 21:14, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
I hadn't heard that, but, as a current senior there who has been through the program for nine years, that certainly adds a new perspective on why. I knew it had to do with deseg, but didn't know those were three of the worst performing schools. Interesting. Definitely should add. 70.232.61.19 (talk) 05:32, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
- I have been collecting sources, but i am finding it difficult to meet wikipedia standards on the subject. It's definitely not something the district brags much about publically, especially in specifics. I'm sure district officials mostly speak of the program desegregation benefits in terms of providing minorities access to AP classes, but courts are just as (if not more) concerned about school test scores as the rubric for measuring the district's compliance. Court-supervised desegregation has given us many strange programs over the years whose existence and undergirding logic seems very counter-intuitive. Colebert (talk) 18:24, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

Sports Section
[edit]Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information. [4]
I removed all the recent updates to club sports scores and seasons. It does not meaningfully contribute to the article to know how a few random club sports did over the past couple of years. Thanks! Colebert (talk) 04:06, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
- I don't want to make an edit that will mess up the sports section since its disputed, but Evin Anderson deserves a mention. http://www.bowl.com/articleView.aspx?i=14058&f=11 <- that, plus he won the individual bowling state championship two years in a row.70.232.32.162 (talk) 04:20, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
