[edit]I’m confused by the maintenance tags placed and wanted to clarify the choice of references.
- Excluding the lead paragraph, the body of the article contains 46 sentences. After I added secondary sources to the ‘Criticism’ section to corroborate the details I referenced from primary sources, only 4 sentences in this article rely on primary sources alone. These are details that are easily verifiable, like words from a speech, where I am not offering an interpretation (WP:PRIMARY).
- I mainly included primary sources to reflect a diversity of sources as evidence for this event’s notability (WP:DIVERSE).
- I have referenced secondary sources more frequently than primary references, like Hubbard & Marshall’s article.
Finally, I don't think this article reads like a press release or news article. This article is about a specific event written in an encyclopedic tone. I followed the format of the Millennium Summit article. The reason I included the background, outcomes, and criticism was to situate the event in its historical context. For these reasons, I don't think these tags make sense and will remove. Moksha88 (talk) 18:17, 18 April 2021 (UTC)
