American vs. British versions

Life Partner?

People who have relationships that are more simple than, more complex than, or just other than "married". In some places, there are undesirable legal consequences to claiming to be married to someone if you are not. htom (talk) 00:27, 2 August 2010 (UTC)

About the recent name change

I imagine that at least one person isn't going to be happy about me changing the name of this article from "Millennium Trilogy" to "Millennium series", so I'm going to try to explain why I made the move and hopefully head off an edit war.

According to many sources (to name one, http://www.stieglarsson.com/the-4th-book ), this series was not intended to be a trilogy, but in fact a 10-part series, which Larsson could not finish due to a sudden death. The title "trilogy" is derived from the fact that only 3 books were published, but it is misleading because the full series was not supposed to be just three books. In fact, there's a decent chance that Larsson's lover will finish and publish the fourth book, which Larsson left about three-fourths completed.

A counterargument to my explanation above might be that the publisher's website for the series is http://www.larssontrilogy.com, or that some articles about the books or films use the title "trilogy". I argue that the publisher is only referring to what it has published, which is three books. Additionally, I think that those articles and other sources are either written by someone who does not know about the other planned books/saw "trilogy: in another source and copied it, or that they talking about only what has been published (because you can't talk about the sales or ratings of something that didn't get published). Therefore, I think that the use of "trilogy" in these sources should be disregarded in the titling of this article.

Graphic Novels section?

I noticed that the page has no information about how Vertigo Comics is adapting the series into graphic novels. Don't you think that's worth mentioning?

I was thinking of, maybe, indenting the "Film adaptions" heading (as well as the "Swedish films" and "American films" headings), adding a heading labeled "Adaptations" or "In other media" above it, and the adding a "Graphic novels" sections underneath. Something like this:

3.1 Film adaptations

3.1.1 Swedish films

3.1.2 American films

3.2 Graphic novels
