Hi! I saw that you have removed all the contents for the article and was redirected. I know the reason and I understand your explanation regarding why the article has been redirected. But while reviewing the song it seems that this article (Red Velvet's version) is more notable than the original singer itself since Milky Way from (BoA's version) is a B-side track and has not been ranked on national or significant music or sales charts. Can you please elaborate. For now I undid your revision. But I'll be redirecting it once an explanation has been given. Hello LipaCityPH: This is a better place for the discussion. Yes, some cover songs are more popular than the originals, which appears to be the case with Red Velvet's 2020 cover compared to BoA's 2003 original. However, the WP practice is to include subsequent renditions in the same article, if they meet WP:SONGCOVER. It states "When a song has been recorded or performed by more than one artist, a particular artist's rendition should be included in the song's article (never in a separate article)". Separate articles that focus solely on a cover version is contrary to the widely accepted WP practice; details about the background, who wrote the song, the lyrics, the basic structure, melody, etc., usually are the same for the original and the covers.

It's common for several versions to be included in one article and I don't see why the same can't be done here. A new article with a title that reflects the song's origins, such as "Milky Way (BoA song)", should be created with details about BoA's song, then those about Red Velvet's ("Milky Way (Red Velvet song)" can redirect to their section in the new article). I understand. Thank you so much! :) I think it will be hard to find any information that can support the original Milky Way by Boa since it is not an A-side (or title track of the album).
