How about a bit more about the previous Grenadan Army, under PM Gairy, known as the Green Beast, and the Peopel's Revolutionary Army under Gen Hudson Austen, a former prison guard who joined the New Jewel Movement as the leader of the military wing and led the 1979 coup. I heard that it was not completely bloodless, that one person was killed. Also more about the 1983 invasion, that in addition to the PRA, there were 4-500 Cubans, mostly construction workers who formed a scratch batallion and resisted the US led invasion. Since 1983 there was a small defence force of about 80, with two platoons, one on stand-by, the other operating with the police. Noel Ellis (talk) 09:23, 3 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
