Holders of this Medal/Honour
[edit]In the German Language version of Wikipedia, there is a page which lists all German Military and Civil honours from the Imperial period to the current day https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liste_der_deutschen_Orden_und_Ehrenzeichen#K%C3%B6nigreich_Bayern
That pages lists the Bavarian Militärverdienstorden (1866) but not this Militärverdienstkreuz which is a different medal. This page lists the WWI ace Max von Mueller as a holder of the Militärverdienstkreuz but in the German Wikipedia his is listed as a holder of the Bayerische Militär-Verdienstmedaille aka Tapferkeitsmedaille. I removed an entry listing Ludwig Erhard as a holder of the Militärverdienstkreuz. I could not find evidence of this being awarded to him on the basis of his WWI service. He is listed as a holder of a civil Bavarian Service medal (Bayerischer Verdienstorden) awarded to him in 1959.
I think you should compare notes and photos with the guys working on those pages. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hurlzzz (talk • contribs) 18:05, 26 October 2019 (UTC)
