To his regret, he only played in a jazz group for a brief period in 1962 during a summer job in Spain, where he ran into the British politician Enoch Powell, apparently looking somewhat displeased. Meeting Powell years later at a Punch meal, and reminding their guest of the previous incident, he was amused by Powell's comment: "I never forgot a face".

This is passage is a bit of a nightmare. For a start, why is Powell's comment amusing? And surely it's "I never forget a face"? Can anyone explain/clarify the writing? Flapdragon (talk) 02:13, 25 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Omission

Yes, disappointing.

I enjoyed and continue to enjoy this man’s writing so much, and this bio falls short of the consideration he merited. Kington was second only to Coren as a humourist, and I say even that with reservations. 2001:44B8:3102:BB00:5070:7C2E:3E9D:4111 (talk) 07:35, 4 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
