Recent vandalism
[edit]Fellow Bulgarians and Levski Sofia fans, what do you think you are going to achieve by vandalizing this page? You may metion the recent controversy, but provide sources for your edits and be neutral. → Тодор Божинов / Todor Bozhinov → 14:20, 1 April 2006 (UTC) BULGARIA ABOVE ALL!!! LEVSKI YOU ARE EVERYTHING FOR US!!! Never be neutral when Bulgaria or Levski are concerned!!!!
Sources
[edit]Riley does have his fans however. He is well liked by both Sir Alex Ferguson, of Manchester United, as well as Chelsea's Jose Mourinho. Would appreciate the source; if this is really a tongue-in-cheek comment on Riley's purported "favouritism" towards Chelsea and MUFC, please state so.--Alexio 05:45, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
"British homosexual"
[edit]The source of the "British homosexual" quote is from this page: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/4867610.stm
The date the article was published is April 1st. Is it a joke, or were the comments really made? GilbertoSilvaFan 14:42, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
- They were, I can tell you that — I saw Batkov saying this on TV (he said it in Bulgarian and then in English). Here's a 2 April article :) It's just that the UEFA Cup quarter-final with Schalke happened to be on 30 March. Todor→Bozhinov 21:32, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
- Just take a look at this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nxM42FIiPsA This is the foul for which the mentioned "british homesexual" gave red card (first half with score 1:0 for Levski). Judge it yourself! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.70.66.233 (talk) 10:13, 23 November 2011 (UTC)
Citations needed
[edit]Hi. Getting back on subject a minute...
Under the heading "Controversies", there are a few paras which contain possible hearsay, folklore, et al. I have inserted requests for citations. It's then possible that without relevant sources being stated, eventually this section could be removed. Thanks. Refsworldlee(chew-fat)(eds) 13:08, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
- Got fed up looking at the unsourced "Controversies", so waded in and sorted them out. Hope all are in agreement. Thanks. Ref (chew)(do) 21:43, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
Mascot
[edit]I haven't actually seen the incident involving the Reading mascot but surely he wasn't actually shown a red card?! 129.234.4.10 20:38, 5 May 2007 (UTC)
- Hi. I have tried once to insert the first words "In a lighter vein," to show that this entry is a rather less serious matter than the editor portrays, but he removed it. As it appears to have confused you too, I will say that you might want to take the whole affair with a pinch of salt. I will redo that edit for the benefit of others who don't necessarily get the joke either. Thanks. Ref (chew)(do) 21:19, 5 May 2007 (UTC)
Bosingwa / Lampard Event
[edit]Is this the same referee from [Liverpool v Chelsea 1.2.09]? If so, does the criticism section need to be expanded? ADM —Preceding unsigned comment added by 134.140.240.92 (talk) 20:28, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
