Is the escort bit at the end fair? It's true that he was an escort but this person is not known for his life as an escort but moreso for exposing Ted Haggard.
The title of this article should be something like Mike Jones (Teg Haggard scandal) given that we know who he is due to this scandal and also due to the fact that he is no longer an escort. No? (→Netscott)01:11, 11 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
He's not best known as an "escort", as the papers referred to him mostly as a "masseur". "Mike Jones (Teg Haggard scandal)" is probably not a good idea, as we don't know what else the future might have in store for him, and that page name is very awkward anyway. We tend to say "Person (profession)" when there is a need for disambiguation. But he's not working as either an "escort" or as a "masseur" these days, only as a "personal trainer" so that's what I'm going to move it to. — coelacantalk — 02:26, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I've asked simillar quetins before but the answer is always: we don't merge people. And people may come looking for this article wanting to know about Jones' current life, and feeling they know everything else about the scandal. JeffBurdges15:01, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think we've seen the last of Mike Jones. I'd prefer to wait a year or so and see if he stops popping up the news. Right now he's popping up on a regular basis. Wjhonson18:01, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, it's been well over a year and he's not in the news anymore. ...and the (personal trainer) bit is pretty much an advertisement for this guy. I mean, seriously, that's not what the dude is known for. 70.122.36.93 (talk) 03:33, 25 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
