Page history
- Today I history-merged Early history of Burma to Migration period of ancient Burma. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 10:35, 7 March 2011 (UTC)
Verification issues/ neutral point of view issues
I am aware that this article seems to be pasted from the History of Myanmar and appears not to be originally written by the sole contributor here .
I have slight concerns about this specific article and have detagged it from the History of Myanmar for the time being. It appears to be unnecessarily Tai and Mon-centric and not wholly appropriate as a summary of the early history of Burma which presumably is that prior to the establishment of the First Burmese Empire by Anawratha.
I feel it needs peer review and appraisal and would be helped by supporting links / sources . It would be enhanced by any supporting evidence that there was any wholesale Tai immigration into Northern present day Burma or establishment of kingdoms before the fall of Bagan or the fall of Dali to the Mongols in the 13th century. This would help legitimise the inclusion of the Tai as an important factor in Burma's pre Bagan history . The inclusion of the names of various Tai polities outside the borders of present day Burma with whom Tai polities were affiliated either briefly or otherwise is irrelevant to this article and should be deleted.
- The theory that Nan Zhao / Dali was Tai ruled is now largely discredited and therefore its inclusion is not appropriate.
- An assumption is made that Thaton and Suvarnabhumbi are the same without source.
- The article applies Tai-centricity to the early history of Northern/Upper Burma and Mon-centricity to the early history of Southern/Lower Burma.
- There are no references to the Pyu in this section which is bias by exclusion .

Merger proposal
There are two articles with the same name, one with normal font and another topic is written in italic. Please read them here_ Early history of Burma and Early History of Burma.--Darz kkg (talk) 04:14, 20 January 2010 (UTC)
- One article is linked to Burma’s Early history,Main article: Early History of Burma and another one is linked to History of Burma’s Early History section’s Main article:Early history of Burma and the box in the History of Burma. --Darz kkg (talk) 04:27, 20 January 2010 (UTC)
- Just stumbled by here to comment that I think this is pretty uncontroversial; WP:MOS dictates the title should be "Early history of Burma", as in this article. Anyone who actually knows the subject matter please go ahead and merge the other article to here. --Pfhorrest (talk) 03:39, 28 November 2010 (UTC)

It is prehistory
This article is about Prehistory and not early history about Burma. Early history should be deal with before Pagan Kingdom era. Soewinhan (talk) 10:30, 2 January 2011 (UTC)
