[edit]Hello! I've just taken a shot at a full article for one of my favorite musicians, the inexplicably underappreciated Mighty Sparrow. This is my first serious Wikipedia edit, so any feedback or corrections would be most welcome. Three white leopards 11:12, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
Other things I'd love to see added to the article:
- a discography (there's lots of information out there, but it's discouragingly scattered)
- information about how Sparrow changed calypso; this article states that he brought calypso to young people and women, but I'm not familiar enough with older calypso to write about the subject.
- something about Sparrow's "bad boy" image (as referenced here), perhaps more about his relationship with Melody
- a picture (I'm not sure about how to distinguish public domain pictures from copyrighted ones)
- other major awards and honors; there's a long list on the official page, but I can't tell which ones are notable enough to include.
