SIA not disambiguation

[edit]

As none of the airports seem to be referred to solely as "Midland Airport", this was a dab page without any valid entries. I've converted it to a list (an WP:SIA) as they are all the same type and then it need not conform to WP:MOSDAB as it doesn't apply to SIAs. As lists require references, I've tagged as unreferenced. They are called "Midland Airport". [1] [2] [3] etc. I'm fine with it being an SIA -- 67.70.35.44 (talk) 04:03, 14 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe, but maybe not. e.g. randomly taking source #2 (not a WP:RS so has no weight), and in the body it does not refer to "Midland Airport". Anyhow, this is a case of "not here" - this info needs to be in the articles first, not justified for a dab first, only then (when justified with RS in each article) they can go in a dab. See WP:DABMENTION, and the handling of alternative/common titles for articles in WP:MOSDAB. Widefox; talk 10:03, 14 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Dabs are not plausible lists of articles, they only serve to aid finding articles reasonably likely to be referred to as that, a point which I'm not fully convinced of yet. e.g. randomly take MBS International Airport - it's close to a place called Midland, but that doesn't mean it's called "Midland Airport", it may be, but then that fact isn't listed in the article so it's speculation at the dab which fails WP:V.
