GA Reassessment

As part of Wikipedia:WikiProject Good articles' Project quality task force, all old good articles are being re-reviewed to ensure that they meet current good article criteria (as detailed at WP:WIAGA. I have determined that this article needs some upkeep to meet current GA status:
- Images: There are a total of eight images as of this version. All of them are bound by our policy per non-free content, but few actually meet them. Illustrative book covers and the like, unless they are part of the main subject or in an infobox, simply do not meet our standards. The pieces need to have sufficient textual backing that their removal would be detrimental, and right now that's not a real issue. I would suggest scrapping all the images save the infobox one, and add an image that shows the game in progress, not just staged; such an image would be much more defensible.
- References: There's a problem with unreferenced content. Each paragraph needs at least one citation at minimum, to show that all the content from that paragraph came from somewhere; you're dealing with a tabletop game, there's not much you can consider common knowledge and that doesn't need to be sourced as a result. Another issue is the actual sourcing. What makes sites such as one-ring.co.uk, www.theargonath.cc, and www.solegends.com.
- Finally, there's issues with original research throughout. The best example I can find is "Games Workshop created two miniatures of Peter Jackson, based on his appearance as a Hobbit during the Fellowship of the Ring:[10] one is owned by the director, and the other is kept on display at Warhammer World in England.[11]" Citation [10] is cited to a picture hosted on a fansite; that doesn't provide evidence that Games Workshop created two miniatures, or that it was based on his appearance in the film.
Given the number of issues above, I am boldly delisting the article at this time. You may renominate at WP:GAN at any time, but the above issues really should be fixed. You can direct any questions or comments to my talk page; I don't watchlist these old reviews. Thanks, Der Wohltemperierte Fuchs(talk) 16:28, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
