We could do with something about how controversial Mid Glamorgan was : I can fish this out from Hansard. It was really quite poor compared to South Glamorgan - the latter only had two districts and was accused of being a proxy for Cardiff County Borough. Morwen - Talk 12:10, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
Morganwg [Glamorgan county as a whole] was one of the ancient Princedoms of Wales and for 'old' and proud residents, still exists as an indisoluble entity, political mapping, 'unitary-authority' expediency and gerymandering notwithstanding. The Welsh, being essentially 'tribal' and partisan, are inordineraly proud of their heritage. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.200.108.57 (talk) 14:46, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
