Popular Culture Reference?
[edit]Would it be appropriate to mention that Mictlantecuhtli appears in a Hellblazer trade paperback (All His Engines I think)? Oni no Akuma 07:28, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
- That goes under random trivia, so not really. BacktableSpeak to Meabout what I have done 03:11, 19 October 2009 (UTC)
Michitlatecotle
[edit]I have found that Mictlantecuhtli has rarely been called "Michitlatecotle" in certain codices, (Codex Telleriano-Remensis) as well as other referencee. Therefor I feel that this should be noted in introduction. Treetops848 (talk) 06:54, 29 July 2012 (UTC)
Accuracy in the Myths Section of the Arcticle
[edit]I was under the impression that it was Xolotl, not Quetzalcoatl, that got the bones out of Mictlan? In the telling of the myth that I had heard, Xolotl and his wife had smashed the broken bones into a paste and created humans out of that after Xolotl was revived (because he had fallen into the hole), not Quetzalcoatl. Is this a myth with a lot of regional variance? Madrastic (talk) 17:37, 1 August 2018 (UTC)

No Lucifer mention in the provided reference
[edit]the statement "In the Colonial Codex Vaticanus 3738, Mictlantecuhtli is labelled in Spanish as "the lord of the underworld, Tzitzimitl, the same as Lucifer"." is erroneus. Read thru the provided reference and there is no mention of Lucifer in the text. Chal021 (talk) 19:05, 13 September 2023 (UTC)
