this information on cytochrome p450 is misleading to the point of being incorrect and needs rewording. From my understanding Cytochrome p450 is in cell membranes, and while cytochrome p450 can be in a microsome, this implies that it is only in the cytoplasm. I don't think that this information is correct and seriously needs to be reviewed by an expert. However, I am no where near an expert, I just see conflicting information with this an other sources by pharmogolists discussing this matter - but I haven't found a written form to cite.

    • The information is correct, microsomes are fragments of ER that contain P450s. P450s are typically found in either the ER or the mitochondria (so it is true that not all P450s are in the ER). The microsomes contain more than just P450s (for example UGTs involved in conjugative reactions among others). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 158.135.7.57 (talk) 14:55, 9 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I am improving the page for a class project under the supervision of Dr. Lesly Temesvari (Username: LTEMESV) at Clemson University. Please do not adopt this page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mdwild2002 (talkcontribs) 21:01, 7 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
