POV tag
[edit]Hi. I think this is a decent article, but it contains a significant amount of POV phrasing that's raising a red flag for me. Not knowing enough about the genre to neutralize it, I've tagged the whole article. Here are some examples of what I perceive as slight bias, mostly in the intro paragraph, that should be neturalized...
- "takes minimal house to a new level"
- "essential dance-inducing elements of house music"
- "its click-and-cut aesthetic mixes well and compliments techno"
- "funkier house and dub influences give it a greater accessibility and more danceable sound"
Thanks. Otherwise, I think this is a good article. Despite being a fan of Akufen, I've never heard of this genre before. --Ds13 19:57, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
I made a few edits. Don't know if that helps or not... --Darktremor 22:56, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
I find the revised version reads very well, no issues. --Fingal 23:30, 21 June 2006 (UTC)
More edits. I've sectioned it off, added notable artists, and expanded on it. It's a full-blown article now, although I'm sure there are still issues - the main one being the lack of real references. I'm having serious problems with that, since my only really good source is the Philip Sherburne Wire article, which I can't find online anywhere. --Darktremor 22:56, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
I find this genre hard to place under other music genres. While it is officially a subgenre of house (and tied to the dancefloor), different tracks take different influence from a wide variety of sources. Also, many would argue it's barely related to house, and more of a techno subgenre. I've decided to give it its own genre, not because it's a major genre on its own, but because it comes from too many different scenes and places to give it a single ancestor. --Darktremor 22:02, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
I don't see the difference between this article and Minimal techno. THE evil fluffyface 06:47, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
a second definition of "Microhouse" exists
[edit]Microhouse is also a common term used to describe housing that creates a usable, complete living space in a compact space. I am not familiar with the Wikipedia system of updating enough to create a cross-reference but if someone who knows how feels compelled to note there is a second definition and maybe create some content to support it, here are some relevant links:

Improve
[edit]Please improve this article asap with appropriate citations or it will have to be severely edited to remove WP:POV info. It has banners in place for some time now without a serious attempt made at providing some form of verifiable referencing. Semitransgenic (talk) 09:57, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit]he has composed microhouse? since when? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.144.78.192 ([[User talk:212.144.78.192|talk]]) 08:42, 18 July 2010 (UTC)
I couldn't agree more. I wasn't the one who put it in, but I'm going to take it out. There's no reference for it, and his music simply isn't microhouse. I've never heard his music called microhouse before.
Shouldn't Richie Hawtin be part of the notable Microhouse DJ's?
[edit]He basically helped invent the genre (together with minimal techno), didn't he? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.171.136.30 (talk) 14:56, 22 August 2015 (UTC)
Claude Von Stroke?
[edit]Could Claude Von Stroke be considered Microhouse? I'd be happy to add him if others agree! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Exception e (talk • contribs) 01:00, 5 March 2017 (UTC)
