I added some results of the 2010 study showing microbiothere geographical origins, along with other early marsupials, in South America, but I did not transfer the source from the 'monito del monte' page. Could someone else do that please? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Elisevil (talkcontribs) 05:04, 8 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Merger discussion for Microbiotheria

[edit]

An article that you have been involved in editing—Microbiotheria —has been proposed for merging with another article. If you are interested, please participate in the merger discussion. Thank you. Gdog1102 (talk) 17:17, 20 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The Microbiotheriidae article can be easily covered under this page, as the two are very closly related and both of the pages are extremely short. Gdog1102 (talk) 17:14, 20 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

On the other hand, if someone in the future wants to go into detail on the extinct taxa within these groups, it would be better to keep them separate. WolfmanSF (talk) 16:49, 21 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Well, Microbiotheriidae is a group within Microbiotheria. Instead of merging we could perhaps rewrite the articles to be more specific and create articles for the other groups within Microbiotheria. At the moment they comprise of the exact same information. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gdog1102 (talkcontribs) 20:23, 21 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, because of the way the Microbiotheriidae article was created. I'm pressed for time at the moment and editing these articles is low on my priorities. I or someone else will probably get to it eventually. WolfmanSF (talk) 21:24, 21 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
No merge then. I'll edit the articles some and start expanding them.
